My name is Darlene Rollins. I am a nature mystic and Soul Whisperer. I was guided to build and found this retreat in 1992 as I was graduating from an extensive course of spiritual study to prepare me for this work. It was as if the land had been waiting for me and we have been partners ever since. I grew up out in the Rocky Mountains. My father was a wildlife biologist for the Forest Service. I am a wounded healer and it was the grace and the presence of Nature, especially the flowing, rocky streams of the mountains, that in my early life allowed me to find my way. My spirit name is Follows Streams.
I become more and more aware of the journey we take as humans on this earth and how important our bonds to Nature and Spirit are. I learned the flow of waters and the way of the currents of spirit in time.
I completed a 5 year personal program of self purification which is ongoing, and six years of training, also ongoing, to offer this work I call The Art of Soul Whispering. I have been working with individuals and groups exploring personal and spiritual growth and states of expanded consciousness for 15 years.
I am also a graduate of the Core Energetics Institute. This 4 year training program teaches a powerful way of working with the life force energy in the integration of body, mind, emotions and spirit in a holistic approach to self-actualization and evolutionary unfoldment.
I am an ordained minister of Gaiabriel, a recognized church in the state of Virginia. Gaiabriel was established as an legal church for healing ministries of many kinds. As a minister I can perform marriage ceremonies as well as other life passage ceremonies. My specialty is in helping people create their own meaningful and relevant ceremonies for all life passages.
In our culture marriage, birth and death are the main life passage ceremonies we honor. I am a skilled celebrant and encourage people to explore ceremony for many other life passages as well. I
have been a life long student of Nature and have recently developed an
eco-contemplative, energetically attuned way of deepening connection
with the natural world, called Natural Communion.
This is a gateway state that works to open us more and more to expanded
experiences of nature. This is an experiential deep ecology that allows
us to feel the connections, and allows nature to come alive within us.
This practice is informed by a new understanding of Nature coming out of the natural sciences, but understood as story, thanks to the "great work" of Thomas Berry and Brian Swimme. This New Story of the Universe helps us re-member our connections to the cosmos and gives us a much needed cosmic sense of place.
I am currently studying with shamanic healers and nature teachers from Brazil. I am a skilled "Wilderness Passage" midwife, and I love helping others discover nature as therapist, guide and healer.
My own spirituality can best be characterized as a syncretic blend of Mystical Christianity and Shamanic Nature Traditions. My mission is to help others find their own unique experiential connection to divinity and nature. I appreciate, and honor all spiritual traditions, as many paths up one mountain. My goal is to work within whatever framework that is meaningful for the individual, to deepen the direct experiential encounter with the natural and spiritual worlds.
My dream is to offer a natural Garden of Eden: A tranquil and beautiful healing space with programs designed to help humanity unfurl into a new state of consciousness that is centered in the heart and connected to all of Life
